The Academy for Individualized Study is an accredited full time high school.  Students complete their academic studies independently and test weekly at one of the teacher manned site throughout the district.  At this time AIS does not offer honors or AP coursework.  Students wishing to attend AIS must have at least 5 credits.  Students will complete one course at a time testing on two packets once a week.  Upon completing a course they return to the main AIS office and retrieve the book and packets for the next course.

If student is not at least reading at an 8th grade level and capable and motivated to access  content on their own, then this is not a viable program for them.  students receive on average 8 packets of worksheets covering a one credit course textbook.  Some subjects such as Math and science can have as many as 10 packets per semester dividing the textbook into smaller sections.   No instruction will be provided.  Students must complete the packets using the textbook and and the online textbook resources.  Students must log 20 hours of study per completed packet.  This time spent gets recorded on the packets log sheet.  The front log sheet and the packets must be completed or the student will not be allowed to test.  Students must test on two packets per week.
