Students' dress needs to be in accordance with school district dress code policy. Students who fail to comply with these standards will be sent to the First Aide Safety Assistant's (FASA) office. The FASA will call the parents for a change of clothing. The dress code policy is as follows:

a. Requires the wearing of shoes with soles (no flip flops).

b. Requires the wearing of shirts or blouses appropriately buttoned in accord with the design of that shirt or blouse. The length must extend beyond the belt level.

c. Requires that all shorts, skirts, and dresses must be at fingertip length (or longer).

d. Prohibits the wearing of pants with cuts, holes, or frayed edges.

e. Prohibits the wearing of transparent see-through, bare midriff shirts/blouses, tank tops, muscle shirts, strapless, spaghetti straps, low-cut or open-back clothing. All sleeveless shirts must have straps at least 3" wide and cover the shoulder.

f. Prohibits the wearing of hats or any other headgear to school. (This applies to both boys and girls).

g. Prohibits the wearing of sunglasses in the building.

h. Prohibits the wearing of gloves, bandanas, chains, spikes, or studded jewelry.

i. Prohibits slogan or advertising on clothing, which by their controversial or obscene nature, disrupts the educational setting. This includes any clothing which advertises alcoholic beverages or drugs.

j. Prohibits the wearing of any facial jewelry other than earrings.

k. Prohibits unnatural hair colors.

l. The school administration shall have the right to designate which types of dress, fashion, fads, or appearance disrupt or detract from the educational program and may be a potential safety hazard.
