School's Highlights


The school is committed to providing students with activities to enhance their learning through different avenues, as listed below.


• Accelerated Reader encouraged students to reach their fullest individual potential in reading.


• Each week students participated in a reading buddies program to increase their skills in literacy.


• Students hosted musical programs that were open to the public and displayed their musical talents.


• Award ceremony is held at the end of the school year to honor students who excelled in academics and citizenship.


• Each month students and classrooms were recognized for excellent attendance.


• Assemblies, field trips, and enrichment programs provided experience in drama, music, dance, and cultural history.


• RIF (Reading Is Fundamental) gave students the opportunity to choose books to take home for their reading pleasure.


• Wild horses often roam within students’ view. The wild horse herd prompted the Mustang as the school’s mascot.


• Students took pride in knowing and studying the habits and characteristics of the wild horse herd.
