Bonanza High School Current Band Information Band Master Calendar 2010-2011 Colorguard Information 2010-2011 Class Schedules for 2010-11 Please review your child's ASSIGNED CLASSES selected for the 2010-2011 school year via ParentLink. Only students currently enrolled at Bonanza may review their schedule selection via ParentLink for the upcoming school year. These classes were selected from information gathered during the preregistration phase. The schedule indicates only the ASSIGNED courses and does not include the teachers' names, room numbers, or class periods. Incoming freshmen and new students' assigned classes will be mailed home in late June. Please be aware that courses were scheduled based upon a variety of factors including teacher recommendations, previous grades, standardized test scores and prescribed course of study. If there is an error in the student’s list of classes, please go to the BHS website and download the Schedule Change Request form and return to the Curriculum Office by August 2, 2010. Reasons for requesting a change are limited to the following: 1. Change needed to meet graduation requirements 2. Improper placement (R/W, honors, AP etc.) 3. Credit already earned (identical course) 4. Request to enter special program (Band, JROTC, Fire Science Academy) CHANGES WILL NOT BE MADE FOR OTHER REASONS. Virtual High School Bonanza High School is instituting an on-site Virtual High School lab for the 2010-11 school year. Courses will be offered in conjunction with Virtual High School (VHS) at no cost! VHS is a computer based high school where students complete classes online with a certified teacher. Virtual classes are for students that are self directed and can work independently.
Bonanza is offering VHS as a means for students to take courses that otherwise would not be offered due to low enrollment or as a means for students to retake classes that they have failed. Students will not be able to take a class as a "first impulse" unless they wish to take the class after school and the class is not a core subject offered during the regular school day.
The following classes will be offered via Virtual High School:
Algebra III: AP Chemistry; AP Physics; AP Statistics; Biology I; English I, II and III; Geometry; Heath Education; Personal
Wellness I and II; Principles of Science; Spanish I and IIH; US History and World History.
