Walter Bracken Empowerment School recognized as a President's Challenge Demonstration Center. Bracken was chosen as a demonstration center because of the school's effort to promote regular physical activity and fitness in the school and community.  Walter Bracken-A Magnet School of Excellence for 2012 |
Walter Bracken Magnet Empowerment School for Math and Science through Technology has been named a Magnet School of Excellence by Magnet Schools of America, the National Association of Magnet and Theme-Based Schools. This national award is based on a commitment to high academic standards, curriculum innovation, successful diversity efforts, and the consistent delivery of high quality education to students. Mrs. Decker will be honored and receive a plaque at the 31st Magnet Schools of America Conference in Dallas, Texas. This is the 6th year Walter Bracken has been recognized as a top performing magnet school in the country. Congratulations Mrs. Decker and Bracken staff!
