Students are not to arrive earlier than 8:10
due to a lack of adult supervision on the
playground. The first bell sounds at 8:35 for
the students to line up at their designated
place on the black top for the morning
ceremony. At 8:40, the second bell sounds
which begins the morning ceremony. This
includes the Pledge of Allegiance,
thirty-seconds of silence, and any school
announcements. All classes start promptlyat 8:55. All students should be picked up no later than3:10 P.M.
If you are unable to do so, you
might consider registering your child for
SAFEKEY.
Visitors to School
Visitors are always welcome, especially parents, who
are encouraged to visit the school as well as their
child’s teacher. However, all visitors are required
to check in the office immediately upon arrival on
campus so that we may properly assist them. Even
parents who know the location of their child’s
classroom need to check in at the office and obtain
a visitor’s pass. No one should enter the school
except by the front entrance. No school-age
visitors are permitted on campus from
7:30 a.m. to
3:06 p.m. unless accompanied by an adult.
Student Attendance and Absences
The Board of School Trustees requires that students
enrolled in the Clark County School District attend
school regularly in accordance with the Nevada
Revised Statutes. It is the parents’ responsibility to
see that regular attendance is maintained and that
their child is on time. Please call the school office
when your child is absent. When your child returns
to school, please send a note explaining the absence
to the teacher. If the student is going to be out for
more than three d ays, a written excuse needs to be
brought into the school office.
Students must be enrolled through the school office before they can attend classes. If they are enrolling from another
Clark County school, a transfer form is required to enroll the child. Parents of Kindergarten children and students
new to the district must present verification of date of birth and immunizations at time of registration. When you
are planning to withdraw a child, the office must have at least one day’s notice to prepare necessary transfer
papers. Also, please make certain that all library booksand textbooks have been returned to the school.
