Congratulations Judy Peterson!
The 2008-2009 CCSD middle and high school physical education teachers of year will be honored at our school district's physical education conference on January 23rd, 2009. This year the recipients of this award were chosen not only because they provide quality physical education instruction, but also because they give back to the profession by either serving on curriculum task force committees, serving on textbook adoption committees, or by presenting at new teacher conferences or professional development conferences. These teachers have served as role models and mentors for many physical educators in our school district. Congratulations for all of your hard work, it is an honor well deserved!!
The Northwest Career and Technical Academy and SH Architecture were selected to receive the 2009 MacConnell Award!
On Thursday, October 2, 2008, Mr Pesce attended the CEFPI awards dinner in San Diego. The James D. MacConnell Award was created by the Council of Educational Facility Planners (CEFPI) to recognize the significant contributions made to the profession of planning educational facilities and to CEFPI by Dr. MacConnell. This prestigious award recognizes educational facility planning excellence-from determination of the need for the facility through occupancy-and all segments in between. Projects are recognized that best demonstrate the comprehensive effectiveness of planning, design and construction.
Congratulations to Corie Naugle & Kelly Rash, science teachers at NW-CTA for passing their National Board Certification in science! This is a great honor for these teachers and a wonderful reflection on NW-CTA. Alissa IIda is a Foreign Language National Board Certified Teacher at NW-CTA, passing previously.
