Centennial High School is a comprehensive high school serving students from grades 9-12. One of 41 high schools in the Clark County School District, Centennial is located in the far northwest area of the Las Vegas valley. With an ethnically diverse population, Centennial has experienced tremendous success in its short history. Our students continue to excel academically by receiving National Merit Finalist Recognitions, scholarships, and Military Academy Appointments. Our Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp has established a tradition of excellence. The NJROTC Program was selected as the number one unit in the nation in 2007 and 2009. Athletically, the Bulldogs are a force to be respected, having earned over 50 division championships, over 28 region championships, and fifteen state championships

Centennial's Activities Department provides many opportunities for our students to experience the challenge and reward of high school traditions, which plays an integral role in their development. Our Student Council has received numerous recognitions for their dedication to community service. Michael Collins was awarded the Region VII Student Council Advisor of the year award in 2008.

The Performing Arts Department strived to showcase its many talented students. The band, orchestra, choir, dance, and theater department have been recognized district-wide. Over 700 students are enrolled in the Performing Arts Department, and it continues to grow with each succeeding year.


Math Proficiency Testing

Parents and students;

Centennial High School will be offering Math Proficiency tutoring to all non proficient juniors and seniors for the math proficiency exam which will be held on November 17, 2009. Congratulations Kirt Brannen

Kirt Brannen is one of three students in the Clark County School District to be selected to the 2010 All-American Marching Band. Kirt has been as band student at Centennial High School for four years under the direction of Mr. Mitch Gabel. Kirt has been a member of the CCSD Honor Band for two years with this 2009-2010 year to be an anticipated third year. Mr. Brannen was selected as the 1st chair Euphonium player of the All-State Band for Nevada for 2008-2009. In 2009, Kirt was also chosen as Best Brass Soloist and Command Performance Winning for Nevada Music Educators Association Solo & Ensemble Adjudication Festival. For the Fall of 2010 Kirt plans on majoring in Music Performance while attending The University of North Texas in the School of Music's famous Euphonium Studio taught by Mr. Brian Bowman. In addition to Kirt's band study at Centennial High School, Kirt is currently studying privately with Mr. Zachary Jackson, Principal Tuba, The Las Vegas Philharmonic. A recognition ceremony will take place on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 8:40 a.m. in the theater.
