History
1999
August – Opened with 1700 students and 73 teachers
(We now have 2938 students and 130 teachers)
2000
February – Pay It Forward (a movie) begins filming at Centennial, starring Helen Hunt, Kevin Spacey, and Haley Joel Osment.
April – Dedication
August – NJROTC class instituted. Named Most Outstanding in Nation by Navy League in 2007
Bulldog Statue donated by Lois Tarkanian, Board of School Trustee Member
2001
June – First Graduation, 366 graduates, held at Thomas and Mack
2002
Fall – Football Field was dedicated to Carol Leavitt, the first Principal of Centennial High School
2003/2004
Largest School in State of Nevada with 4000 students in 2003 and 2004.
2003 – Named Grammy Signature School for its Performing Arts Dept.
2005
First high school athletic team to win state championship 4 years in a row.

2007
Students earned over 6 million dollars in scholarships.
