Transportation Information

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
FOR THE 2009/2010 SCHOOL YEAR
In order to streamline the process for registering students for transportation, the Clark County School District has automated bus registration. If address information is up-to-date and there has not been a school attendance or zone change, there will be no need to fill out extra forms or spend time on the phone.
Below please find information regarding Transportation Registration for the 2009/2010 school year:
-
Transportation is available for students residing two miles or more from their zoned school as stated in Clark County School district Regulation 3531, Student Transportation Guidelines.
-
Students eligible for transportation will be assigned a bus stop and receive notification through ParentLink and a letter with their transportation information in mid-August. Non-eligible students will also receive a ParentLink call and a letter explaining their status.
New Students
Current Students
-
Current students that remain at the same school, have the same home address, and are receiving transportation will automatically be registered for transportation for the following school year. Annual registration is no longer required.
-
Current students that change schools, move, or now require transportation, must complete a Student Information Update form to update their school and transportation information. This form is available at your student’s school.
Additional Students
-
If your student is enrolled in self-contained special education classes and requires transportation, please contact their case manager. The Special Education Instructor-Facilitator (SEIF) at your student’s school will assist you in this process.
-
If your student has medical transportation needs, please contact the school nurse to process the necessary documentation.
-
If your student is attending a behavior or continuation school, the school will complete the form required for requesting transportation.
If you have questions, please contact the Transportation Department at 799-8110/799-8111 or visit the Transportation website at http://transportation.ccsd.net for additional information.
