Hi, I am Opal “Lynn” Ivey and
I am honored to be the Assistant Principal of Marshall
Darnell Elementary School. I have been with the
Clark County School District for the last
twelve years. I began my twenty
year career in Clark County but left to travel
the world with my wonderful husband. Over the past
twenty years I have worked in two states and for
the Department
of Defense Dependent Schools. I have had
the opportunity to work in the classroom and as
a strategist in the areas of literacy and behavior.
No matter what the title, I enjoyed the job and
already love the job I have been given the opportunity
to do while working at Darnell Elementary.
I began my education in Macon,
Georgia at Wesleyan
College where I earned a Bachelors Degree. I continued
my education earning Masters
Degrees from Grand
Canyon University, Arizona and Nova
Southeastern University, Nevada. Throughout my career, I have
had the opportunity to work with tremendously talented
administrators and teachers and I have learned
so much from them all. All of my experiences have
prepared me to do the best possible for Darnell
Elementary with the guidance of Principal Trish
Cobb.
