NEW Tardy Policy
The 2009-2010 Desert Oasis Tardy Policy will be strictly enforced.
First Tardy: Student will sign the teacher’s tardy log. This will serve as a warning.
Second Tardy: Student will be referred to the dean’s office by the teacher on a written referral, for Disregarding School Rules and Regulations (Tardies). Consequences will be Required Parent Conference status and parents will have to sign the student in at the dean’s office the following day, by 7:00 am. If parents do not sign student in the following day, student will be placed in in-house for the day and placed on Required Parent Conference status.
Third Tardy: Student will be placed on Required Parent Conference Status and parents will have to schedule a meeting with a dean. Student will not be allowed back to school until the parents and student have met with a dean.
Fourth Tardy: Student will be placed on formal progressive suspension status (3, 5, 7, and 10 days). If a student has five suspensions for any reason the student falls under NRS 392.4655, Habitual Disciplinary Problem and may be recommended for expulsion. |

Parents, ParentLink Needs Your Email Address!
We want to make sure that you will have full access to ParentLink on your schedule. Setting up your email address in ParentLink enables you to reset your password if it is ever lost or forgotten, receive email messages from your school, and subscribe to other important ParentLink communications. Simply log in to ParentLink, click on the MY ACCOUNT tab, and click the ADD button in the Email Addresses section. Then click SAVE to save your address once it is entered on the Add Email Address page. Don't delay, set up your email address today!
Report Illegal Dumping!!
If anyone observes any illegal dumping on either side of Erie Street leading to the school, please contact the Bureau of Land Management at 293-8998. Report the vehicle color, license plate number, what was dumped and where. Violators will be assessed a stiff fine and face possible prosecution.
