Selection as a member of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is an honor recognized throughout the nation. The purpose of this organization is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character, and to encourage good citizenship in the students of secondary schools. Selection is based on five criteria: citizenship, service, leadership, scholarship and character. Members must maintain a high grade point average of 3.5 and become good citizens by participating in service projects.
