School Mission Statement

The community of H.P. Fitzgerald Elementary School is committed to providing a safe,
nurturing and engaging learning environment dedicated to academic excellence. We
work together to develop life-long learners and independent thinkers, who demonstrate
respect for self and others and become successful, contributing members of a global
society.

Welcome back to the 2009-2010 School Year

We are so excited about the new school year. Please read the important information
below and please keep checking back for updated information.

Students must go through the front door of the building. Teachers will greet students
each morning at their dots on the playground at 8:45.

Safekey: Parents should call our office if they are interested in using Safekey services. Our
school needs at least 25 students to sign up for this program or we will be unable to provide
Safekey services.

U.S. Department of Education Survey: Very soon, letters will be going home to parents
that will allow us to accurately collect and report the race and ethnicity of our students. We
need your help to make sure this information is accurate so we can qualify for all the federal
programs/funding that are available to our school and students. Please ask your child about
this letter and read it, fill out the requested information, and return it to school as soon as
