Melvil Dewey
Melvil Dewey (December 10, 1851–December 26, 1931) was the inventor of the Dewey Decimal Classification system for library classification.
The Fremont library is organized according to the Dewey Decimal Classification.

Nonfiction shelves are located on the walls (perimeter) of the library.
Fiction shelves are in the middle of the library.
The reference section is located at the end of the fiction shelves.
The story collections (short stories) are located near the teaching area in the back of the library.
