Garside Celebrates GIS Day With The City of Las Vegas.

Members of the city of Las Vegas’ Departments of Information Technologies will continue their tradition of reaching out to local schools to recognize national Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Day by visiting Frank F. Garside Junior High School this Wednesday, Nov. 19. Wednesday, Nov. 19, marks the 10th anniversary of GIS day, which is part of national Geography Awareness Week. GIS Day provides an international forum for users of GIS technology to demonstrate real-world applications that are making a difference in our society.
