Reflections 2009Reflections is a National PTA program which promotes the arts and is sponsored by our Gilbert PTA. Reflections serves as an outlet for students to creatively explore what they are learning in the classroom.Students expressed their creativity by creating entries based on this year's theme: "WOW". The entries were in the form of a film or video production, a dance choreography, a musical composition, a photography or visual arts presentation, or a literature composition.A special Reflections Assembly was held in February at Gilbert to honor the winners in each category. Gilbert had over sixty participants who submitted Reflections entries. Three entries per age division (primary and intermediate), in six categories were submitted to the Nevada State PTA.Gilbert had seven students recognized at the elementary school level by the State PTA at the Southern Nevada Reflections Awards Ceremony, held on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the Historic 5th Street School in Las Vegas.
