WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL
My name is Rick Slater and I am proud to be the principal of Linda Rankin Givens Elementary School. On behalf of the entire staff, I would like to welcome you to our new school.

The mission of Linda Rankin Givens Elementary School is to ensure the academic and social success of every student. The entire staff is committed to making sure that your child’s instructional day is focused on reading, writing, and solving math/science problems; that the classroom environment is safe and supportive; and finally, that all academic and social growth is celebrated.

You can help by showing your child, with your words and actions, that school is important. Make a commitment to do these four things:
1.     Meet with your child’s teacher frequently.
2.     Spend time with your child every day reading and writing.
3.     Encourage effort.
4.     Celebrate even the smallest achievements.

If we work together and support each other, all children will experience both social and academic success.
