ATTENDANCE POLICY
Attendances and Absences:
The Board of School Trustees and Nevada Revised Statutes require school attendance. It is the position of the Board that if a student is absent, no learning can take place. It is the parent’s responsibility to see that regular attendance is maintained and that their child is on time to school each day. If a child has an excessive number of absences, the parent/guardian will be notified, in writing, by the school. An elementary student may be required to repeat the current grade if the total number of absences exceeds 20 for the school year. Please review the CCSD Attendance Policy for Elementary Schools that is in the Parent folder sent home during the first week of class.
Student Tardy Procedure:
Students are expected to arrive promptly everyday. When students, arrive after 9:10 a.m., they must go to the office and receive a late pass in order to be admitted into class. If a student is continually tardy, a conference may need to be scheduled with the Administration.
