The Southern Nevada Writing Project (SNWP) is thrilled to host our third annual Summer Writing Camp for students entering grades 1-12 in the Fall, 2012. This is an incredible opportunity for any student who loves to write. Class sizes are small with at least 2 certified CCSD teachers per class. If you know students who would enjoy the opportunity to write, share and publish their work, please provide them and/or their parents with a copy of the attached information flyer and camp registration form (2 pages). Camps will be June 18 - June 29 at the following locations: Grades 1-6, Paradise ES (on the UNLV campus) and grades 7-12, Carlson Education Building at UNLV. The cost is $200 for 10 half days; this includes a mid-morning snack, a commemorative tee shirt, and an anthology of student writing. Download Information Flyer.

Tear Off Your Box Tops for Greenspun Junior High - Download Info Flyer
Did you know Greenspun JHS participates in the Box Tops for Education program? That’s right, the same program that elementary schools use successfully to earn a lot of money for extra programs at their schools.
So start saving your box tops and encourage your student to drop them off in the Counseling Office. You can’t miss the official box (it’s huge!) Just starting a collection, great! Work over the summer to collect as many as you can and drop them off the beginning of the 2010/2011 school year.
New to box tops? They are found on items from fruit snacks to cake mix boxes, to diapers, toilet paper and anything in between. Just look for the official Box Tops for Education logo and snip off the coupon. It’s that easy, we promise.
Let’s work together to help Greenspun JHS earn extra money for programs and supplies that go right back to our kids.
Questions? Feel free to contact parent volunteers, Ali Thompson (265-8695) or Claudia Schwarz (372-4072)
