WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE HEROES

A hero is someone who does something for the general good of others without concerning him/herself with personal interests or safety. A hero is more than brave, more than generous, more than charitable, more than modest, more than honorable, and more than a role model, yet consists of all these traits. Our school namesakes were highly recognized across the State of Nevada for their heroic traits. Keith and Karen Hayes were prominent leaders within the local community and the State of Nevada. At Hayes Elementary School, we aspire to recognize such characteristics among our student body. As a member of our school community, we welcome you to join us in our celebration of HEROES.

Hayes Elementary Mission

The mission of Hayes Elementary School is to provide a positive and safe learning through a partnership of the community parents, and staff where rigorous and relevant curriculum, along with high expectations, will guide all students to reach their full potential and discover the hero within.

The vision for Hayes Elementary School is to foster responsible, productive, self-directed learners who grow and develop to an exemplary status through the inclusive practices and collaboration of community, parents and staff in the learning process. To make our vision become a reality, we are committed to the following beliefs and and values.
