J.L. Bowler moved to the Virgin Valley in 1946. He has since shown commitment to the community with vigor, determination and enthusiasm. He served his church as well as his community. He held many positions ranging from chairman of the Virgin Valley Medical Committee to Park Beautification Chairman. He was student body president at Dixie State College and Valedictorian of his high school. He has always supported schools and has donated to the Virgin Valley Scholarship Fund since it began. Many people in the community spent time working with Mr. Bowler. He owned and operated a business for over 40 years. He created many jobs in the valley. He was a very generous man and would help anyone that he came in contact with. Mr. Bowler has been a great example of giving a "helping hand."
