
The web is an awesome resource for teachers to find information to enhance the curriculum, lesson plans, and other resources. The following sites are just a few, highly recommended sites that contain a lot of good information. Not every resource found at these sights has to be used on the Internet or involves technology. Many contain printable lesson plans on a variety of curriculum areas.

The New York Times Learning Network

The New York Times Learning Network is a free service for students in grades 3-12, their teachers and parents. The site is updated Monday through Friday throughout the year. Students can read the day's top stories using Knowledge Tools, take a news quiz about today's world, submit a letter to the editor, ask a reporter a question, and play special crossword puzzles. Teachers can use News Snapshot, aimed for grades 3-5, to explore current events through New York Times photos and related questions.
