PRINCIPAL
Hi! I would like to introduce myself as the principal of Kitty McDonough Ward Empowerment School. My name is Mrs. Lee Douglass. I have been an educator for 35 years and have loved every moment of it! I have a deep love for children and for the art of teaching! As a teacher in my earlier career I taught kindergarten, first grade, second grade and third grade for 14 years. I have been an administrator for 21 years. My husband and I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada 14 years ago from Virginia Beach, Virginia, but, we are originally from Atlanta, Georgia. I opened Joseph M. Neal Elementary, August, 1999, and served as the principal there for the past seven years.
Mrs. Christine Bristol, our computer specialist, developed this web site as a form of communication between the community and Ward Elementary. We will expand the web site as we grow… So please visit our site frequently to see our updates.
We will have many new and exciting experiences to enrich your children’s learning at Kitty Ward Elementary!
