WE ARE NOW AN EMPOWERMENT SCHOOL!

Kitty Ward Elementary has been selected by Dr. Walt Ruffles, Superintendent of the Clark County School District, as one of the four new Empowerment Schools for the 2007-2008 school year.

Empowerment Schools are part of the new Superintendent's Schools. In an Empowerment School, the School Design Team will have greater decision-making authority with fewer central office directives. Empowerment Schools also have increased independence over such things as budget, daily scheduling, staffing, and delivery of curriculum.
