My name is Kurt Poulson and I am the Special Education teacher for Kitty Ward Elementary School.  I received my Masters Degree in Education from UNLV in 1993 and have been teaching special education in the Clark County School District for the past 14 years.

My wife Cherie and I moved to Las Vegas 17 years ago from a small resort town in central Minnesota where I worked 12 years in the television news business as a photographer/editor.  Even then I enjoyed covering stories that involved education and the power of learning.

I am very happy to be joining the outstanding staff at Kitty Ward Elementary School and look forward to meeting the students and being a part of  their education.
