Pedestrian Safety
It is our hope that by doing this, our school community will demonstrate a higher regard for the safety and well-being of our students and subsequently, prevent any injury or fatality. The campaign will involve two mini-lessons on this topic, a student and parent Pledge, an essay and/or poster contest, as well as a parent volunteer drive. Keep Safe lessons will involve the viewing of a video created by LVMPD that may be unsettling to students. Parents may review the video at the following link: http://youtu.be/zANag-bYjUk . If you do not want your child to view the video, please send a note to that effect no later than Friday, March 30, 2012. Lessons will begin the week after Spring Break, April 9-13, 2012. More information regarding the Keep Safe Campaign will be sent home with students. Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to address the safety of our students.
