Welcome to Bob Miller Middle School

Info for Parents

  • To learn more about the pre-registration process for the 2010-2011 school year, visit our course catalog page.

  • When your student is absent, do you always remember to include all the necessary information on the note excusing the absence?  Use our example of "The Perfect Absence Note" to make sure all the needed information is given to the school.  Simply print a copy of "The Perfect Absence Note" and fill in the blanks.  Remember, all notes must be turned in within three days of the absence.

  • Scroll to the bottom of this page to learn about some great ways to support our school financially without spending any extra money.

  • Bob Miller MS has a great program on campus called WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students).  To learn more about this nationally recognized program, visit our Watch D.O.G.S page.

  • Nevada State law now mandates that all entering 7th grade students are required to have a Tdap shot.  The Southern Nevada Health District specifically states "Students entering 7th grade after June 30, 2008, must have one dose of Bordetella pertussis (Tdap) after age 10, (unless it has been less than 5 years since their last DTap, DT, Td, DTP, or ATD)".  This policy is currently in place with the Clark County School district.  If your child has received this immunization, please make sure the school Health Office receives a copy of this immunization so we may update our records.  If your child needs this immunization, they will be required to get this shot prior to starting the 7th grade.

  • Parents/Guardians add your name to Mr. Larnerd's email list.
If you would like to receive periodic emails from Mr. Larnerd regarding items of general interest related to CCSD and/or Bob Miller MS, please email Mr. Larnerd with "add to parent email list" in the subject line.  If you use an online email program such as yahoo or google, you will need to open that program and enter Mr. Larnerd's email address (TCL937@interact.ccsd.net) rather than use the above link.

Info for Students

  • Lunch period is a time for students to relax and socialize with their peers.  However, some students may have a difficult time finding a lunch group or classmate to sit with during lunch.  The bob Miller Middle School Lunch buddy Program is designed to help these students by pairing them up with peers who have similar interest so they have a common bond.  Students can "volunteer" to welcome another students into their lunch group or can choose to be a "participant" in order to be paired up with a volunteer.  The volunteer applications and participant forms are located in the counseling office or can be printed from these links.  Completed applications and forms should be returned to the appropriate grade level counselor.

Support our School

We've discovered a terrific way to raise funds for
our school. It's super-easy, and all you have to do is use your Target
® Visa® or Target® Card. We will receive a percentage of the amount of each purchase in the form of a cash donation from Target through the Take Charge of Education® program. It's easy. Just visit www.target.com/tcoe, or call 1-800-316-6142 to designate our school. So if you're going to Target anyway, please consider using your Target® Visa® or Target® Card. Big thanks to those who are already doing their part to make a great school even better.  Miller Middle School's Target ID number is 115571.
