Attention seniors: If you missed the presentation about Smart Grad and are interested in being in SMART GRAD this year please come and see Mrs. Abercrombie in room 800 for more information. Everyone who is interested must complete their registration form and turn it in to Mrs. Abercrombie's basket in room 800 by November 1st.

Anyone wishing to attend proficiency tutoring and can commit to three days a week till the March testing for everybody and the May testing for Seniors only can sign up in MR. DROLLINGER's (pronounced Mister Draw-Lin-Ger) class room 819. The tutoring is from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Commitment is required.

Do you want to get credit for working???  Ask your counselor how.

Juniors & Seniors...register NOW for the next ACT and SAT exams!  You only have until the end of October to register for the December tests.  See your counselor for more information.

Attention Rams: Make up picture day is Wednesday, November 8th in the Lecture Hall.  If you did NOT get your picture taken in September or are unhappy with the pictures you did take, this is the time to rectify the situation.  Remember: These are also your yearbook pictures, so make sure that you get yours taken.

Attention seniors: You should have all received nomination sheets for Senior Superlatives in your government classes.  Please make sure that these sheets are returned to Ms. Nickels in Room 1106 no later than today.  Actual voting will occur at a later date.

Attn: Al Boys and Girls tennis players.  Please turn in your uniforms to Coach Whitt by Friday November 3rd.  Students failing to return uniforms will be issued fines, on Monday, November 6th.

Listen up, musicians!   Chamber Music Club auditions are over!  We will all meet together on Wednesday, November 1st in room 208.  See Mrs. Nickel in Room 1300 if you missed auditions.

It's not too late for you to RSVP for Rebel Round Up scheduled for November 3 and 4 on the UNLV campus! This event is being held especially for students with an interest in UNLV's College of Sciences.
 
During Rebel Round Up, you will have the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a student at UNLV. Students will participate in group sessions about the university's enrollment process, including tours of campus and in-depth information about UNLV's sciences programs. In addition, as a weekend program, prospective students also have the opportunity to stay overnight in a residence hall.  Finally, all students who attend Rebel Round Up will be able to participate in On-Site Admissions. 
 
An RSVP is required by November 1 to attend this program. Students can RSVP at www.unlv.edu/admissions or by calling the Office of Undergraduate Recruitment at (702) 774-UNLV. Due to limited space, only 30 students will be able to utilize on-campus accommodations.  Additional information about this program can be found on the RSVP page.

Congratulations to our wonderful Honor Choir students on their outstanding performance last Wednesday at UNLV's Ham Hall.  These students were Chanel Arwine, Daisy Hamrick, Maddie Mittelstadt, Leidy Perez,  Elizabeth Robinson, Sarah Siekerman, Elise Stephens, &  Luz Tolentino in the Women's Choir.  Sarah Siekerman was chosen out of the 160 women for the soprano solo.  Also Chris Morales was a member of the select/audition only Mixed Choir that was awesome.  Thank you all for raising Rancho's Choral reputation in the district.

A reminder to all National Honor Society members to attend the weekly meeting today in Room 1313 immediately after school.

All Sun Youth Forum members need to meet with Mrs. Garman in Room 1313 after school Tuesday, October 31st.

Congratulations to Senior Rebecca D'Silva and sophomore Pierre Flores as they qualified for the State Cross Country Championships this past weekend.  Pierre was 13th with a time of 18:18 and Rebecca was 7th with a time of 21:22.  Both will compete at State this Saturday at Boulder City.  Good Luck and congrats on a job well done.
