RMS students take advantage of a variety of activities, services, and programs that our campus offers each year. School-Wide Vocabulary
Effective vocabulary knowledge has long been recognized as important to academic success. This year, Rogich MS will provide a school-wide vocabulary program to increase students' vocabulary development. A weekly list of vocabulary will be used and modeled by all teachers in all academic disciplines.
Week 13
tomy (tom) – cutting; operation of incision
1. anatomy – dissection of plants or animals for the purpose of studying their structure
2. appendectomy – surgical removal of the appendix
3. phlebotomy – opening of a vein to diminish the blood supply
4. tonsillectomy – surgical removal of the tonsils
5. tracheotomy – surgical operation of cutting into the trachea (windpipe)
