The students you are sending to us are wonderful!  Thank you for all your support and encouragement to make this the best year ever! 

As we look to next year, we are excited to be part of the district's Curriculum Incentive.  We will be implementing "SpringBoard" which incorporates English Textual Power and Mathematics With Meaning into our Language Arts and math classes.  Please go online to collegeboard.com/springboardinfo for more information.

We continue with our school-wide focus on the 3 R’s:

• Rigor: providing academic vigor and challenging activities to engage students. 
• Relevance: applying learning and knowledge to new circumstances or settings that make sense.
• Relationships: building bonds between students and teachers to ensure everyone connects with at least one adult—and hopefully more.

Student success is enhanced by a close connection between home and school.  The ParentLink Program allows parents and students access to grades, attendance, and assignments.  Our Saville teachers update ParentLink at least once a week.  If you have not yet received your password they are available in the front office.  We have placed a computer in the front office for parents/guardians to access if you do not have access at home.   You are welcome to come in anytime between 8 am and 4 pm to check your students’ progress on ParentLink on the “Parents’ Computer”.

All parents and guardians are invited to participate in our monthly Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meetings to discuss issues, concerns, and timely information.  If you have any topic or interest you would like to add to the agenda, please contact the principal's office.  Please come and participate.

Please remember my door is always open and I love to meet parents, share ideas, and help resolve issues.  I am honored to be the principal at one of the most outstanding schools in the district!

• Magnet Schools Assistance Program (MSAP) grant survey

CCSD is in the process of applying for a Magnet Schools Assistance Program (MSAP) grant. The MSAP grant will provide the opportunity for two new magnet elementary school programs and one new magnet middle school program.  McCarran Photomosaic Terminal 3 Art Display

Five years ago, 33,000 CCSD students participated in the McCarran Terminal 3 Photomosaic Art Project. Last night this display was unveiled. Artist Robert Silvers used the 33,000 pieces to create the ten winning images.

If you had students participate in this project, they can use the interactive website to find where their original drawing is in the display. They will need to enter the school they were enrolled in five years ago.
