Welcome to Silverado High School-On-The-Web! As you review our information on the website, I am confident that you will discover something that we here at Silverado High School have known for a long time: that our stakeholders are motivated, diverse, and willing to work to make Silverado High School a great place for our students, staff, and community.

 

As you visit our virtual campus, you will get a sense of genuine caring our staff has for the students at Silverado High School and the enthusiasm the students have for their school. Silverado High School has a great energy about it that visitors are always commenting on when they walk into our school. I am sure that, even though you are only on the web visiting, you too will catch the excitement! There are a lot of exciting academic programs as well as activities, clubs, and athletics for a student to become involved with. School is a much more enriching experience when students take advantage of all the positive activities that Silverado offers its students, so get involved!

 

Silverado is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive and challenging environment in which students will become active, reflective, and creative learners who accept responsibility for learning, have pride in their community, and are prepared to contribute to a world that is increasingly diverse. Our goal is to have students be well-rounded, knowledgeable, and successful members of their community who are accountable for making positive choices. Our staff is hard working, our parents and community are supportive, and our students, in the words of Garrison Keillor, “are all above average” or as near to it as statistically possible. If you are new to our attendance zone and are looking at what your new school will be like, I assure you that you couldn’t find a better school in the state. Everyone wants to be a Skyhawk!
