Silverado has one of the most amazing Student Councils in the Clark County School District or in the state of Nevada for that matter.  They are constantly giving back to the community and motivating the students on the Silverado campus so everybody has that Skyhawk Spirit!

The Skyhawk Student Council is a consistent winner of the Silver Star award – which is the most prestigious award in the state of Nevada a student council can receive.

They are currently attending the state conference where they are in the running to win the Silver Star award once again!  Please check the activities calendar for a list of events.

The Performing Arts Department continually produces amazing performances.

Silverado’s own choir director, Mr. Klark Black, was recently awarded an excellence in teaching award.

Band News and Announcements

The Silverado Skyhawk Band had the honor of performing in Hawaii on the U.S.S. Missouri in Pearl Harbor.

Contact the activities office if you are interested in joining a club or activity.

The Visual Arts Department provides students with the opportunity to work in a variety of mediums.

Silverado High School has a very active arts program.  The Senior Art Show was held in April.  The exceptional work is still on display in the library conference room.

On April 19, 2008, Silverado High School hosted the “Feats of Clay” contest.  This art show focused on various ceramic pieces.  You can read about it in the Henderson Home News.

Student Activities are an integral part of Silverado High School’s educational program.

The purpose of this program is to provide educational experiences not otherwise provided in the curriculum, which will develop character, ethics and manners in students.
