BE KIND TO THIS BEAUTIFUL EARTH FIELD DAY!!!!!

Here are the rules for Field Day, Friday April 24th, 2009.

Water Conservation Relay

Take wet sponge from water bucket; pass over the top of your head directly to the player behind you, trying to lose as little water as possible from the sponge. Then sponge is passed over each players head to the end of the line, last player will ring the water into the bucket at the end of the line & then go to the front of the line placing the freshly rung sponge into the bucket with the water. When all players have had one turn, then the water will be measured to see which team has rung out the most water into the back bucket! ☺

Go Green –Wheel Barrel Relay

Partners will travel to the cone at the end of each line. Partners will take turns, one will be the wheel barrel on the way down to the cone in front of your team, and the other will be the wheel barrel on the way back. If you loose control, just regroup and go on from there! ☺

Kinetic Energy Basketball Dribble

Make sure basketballs are on rings before beginning. Students must dribble below the waist using either hand, down and around the cone all the way to the next student. Students should hand the ball to the next player, please do not throw or bounce the ball to the next person in line (Injuries could occur). When your team line is done please sit crisscross applesauce and have hands raised with ball on ring. ☺

Go Green- Scooter Cars !!!!!

Students will use teamwork to make up to four separate circles each around the tether ball pole at the tether ball courts. Goal of the game is to get the hula hoop to travel around the circle without breaking hands. (Ms. De Le Rosa will man this station, if there are question, just ask).

Jump Start Your Heart - Jump Rope Relay

There is no incentive to finish first since the squad with the fewest drops is the winner. Record drops on white board and go green!

Soccer Dribble Relay

Make sure the soccer balls are placed on the ring before beginning the relay. Players are not permitted to pass the ball from any distance. Students must dribble the ball using the insides of the feet around the cone and back. When your line team is done, sit crisscross applesauce and have hands raised with the ball placed on the ring.
