The upward, individual, lighted torch represents the s chool’s commitment to moving forward with future educational opportunities for all. The crown, which imparts splendor and honor, reflects the sovereignty students have over their own futures. The husky is the original mascot of Charles I. West Middle School and will carry on as the spirit of effort and achievement within the student community. The silver key proclaims all of the possibilities and potential that is unlocked by the students who set foot in Charles I. West Hall. Recipients of silver keys personify all of the core values existing at West Prep. The sturdily attached rivets surrounding the perimeter of the shield represent the fortitude of all current and past students and their ongoing pledge to achieve academic greatness.
