Our school theme is “Global Diversity” with a focus on literary and visual arts.
- Literary Arts - Students focus on multiple disciplines within the field of writing through the process of writing from initial concept to the creation of final publication. All students receive daily focused instruction on the writing traits, with emphasis on: voice, ideas, conventions, and organization throughout the curriculum.
- Visual Arts - Students focus on creative problem solving and visual fundamentals: oral and written presentation. Student photographers enhance the aesthetics of the school and provide visual presentation to the student written newsletters.
We believe …
- All students are creative thinkers.
- All students are successful learners.
- All students are important contributors to our future.
- All students desire to be accepted and respected by others.

Homework is designed to be an extension of activities studied in school. Homework provides students the opportunity to develop responsibility, study habits and mastery of skills taught. Please help your child identify an area at home to complete their homework. Students will not be given weekly homework packets. We encourage parents to check homework daily. Homework will not be given on Fridays, holidays or weekends. We want our students to enjoy family time and extracurricular activities, therefore; at Wilhelm, nightly homework should not exceed as follows:
- 35 minutes for Grades K-2nd
- 45 minutes for Grades 3-5
If you have a business or do business within our community, we need your help. Please contact me, the principal, Mrs. Gibson (799-1750) if you are interested in becoming involved in a school business partnership.
