In 2002 then principal Jackie Locks wrote a grant to purchase a LeapFrog materials to help improve student achievement. A kick-off assembly was held for parents, staff, students, and district administators. Representatives from LeapFrog explained how the materials worked. Parents and students were given hands-on demonstrations and had further opportunities to use the materials in the classrooms and the school library.
